Faster way of getting pregnant after tubal reversal?

Q. I got my tubes tied 4 yrs ago, (2007) and on Dec. 2011 I got them reverse. I really want to get pregnant as soon as possible. Any ideas, method? I am 29 yrs old and think the longer i try the less possibility of getting pregnant is less :(

A. First, congratulations on your tubal reversal surgery! The journey is such an exciting one. Second, 29 years old is young. Do not let your age get you down..you still have plenty of fertile years.

The best advice given when trying to conceive is knowing when you ovulate. Knowing ovulation time will help you because you know when your most fertile time of the month is. There are ovulation predictor kits (OPK's) available at your local pharmacy and can also be found online. There are different brands and the cost will vary.

Another way of pinpointing ovulation is with taking your Basal Body Temperature, This is where you will take your temperature when waking at about the same time each and every day and then charting the temps. Temperature fluctuations will help you determine when ovulation has taken place. I will include a link to help you better understand this.

A healthy lifestyle for both you and your partner is advised. And remember to be taking your prenatal vitamins. :)

And remember, try not to stress out over the TTC. It will not help and stress is not good for you! Try to find things to keep your mind busy. If you still have not conceived in a year you can ask to have the HSG to make sure that your tubes are still indeed open. Once you get that positive pregnancy test, early pregnancy monitoring is very important.

I hope this helps! And tons of baby dust to you.

what do you think would be better-a natural birth or c-section?
Q. I had a baby boy back in June of 2008. I was so excited about having him and i was in labor for hours. But unfortunately when it was time to deliver the doctor came in and said he was stillborn. I am expected to have another in February of 2011 but dont want to go through the same thing of having to wait and then find out the bad news. What should i do??

A. In your case dear, I would talk to your doctor and explain your fears with having another attempt at natural birth.. What I don't understand is why the monitors didn't alert the doctor/nurses that the baby was in distress and they didn't hurry and rush you into the operating room to save your child. That thought scares the crap out of me, like you I'm due in February of next year... Going by the statistics, natural birth is better for your body than a cesarean.. If your doctor says you should try it again and you feel comfortable with it, I say give it another shot. If you're haunted by your previous attempt, I'd go for the c-section. I hope in the end everything turns out well for you, and that you're blessed with a healthy and beautiful child. :-)

how likely for my uterus to rupture?
Q. i had 2 previous csections, with my last csection july 2011 the army doctor who was preforming the surgery had said my uterus was coming open on its own and it wouldnt be wise to have another pregnancy but if i did then to have the doctor watch me closely...im currently 10 weeks pregnant and i go to the doctor today, but i have read on the computer that if my uterus does rupture then its less likely the mother dies..can anyone give me tips to help the uterus from coming open?

A. Because your last c-section was so recent it raises your risks of rupture just a little bit, as well. Obviously you're going to have to be very closely monitored during this pregnancy, but there's no reason you can't have a good successful pregnancy. (Obviously you're not a good VBAC candidate!)
If your uterus does rupture, it's anyone's guess what the outcome will be. Likely you won't die, but the babies often do....or end up brain-damaged.
Just be very smart and follow your doctors instructions. Pay close attention and be watchful for the signs she/he will tell you to look for. This is not impossible. It's just going to need a little more intervention than a typical pregnancy and birth, but YOU CAN DO IT!
Congrats on the pregnancy! I wish you all the best!

EDIT:
C'mon people...this woman is not talking about thinking about having another baby! She's already pregnant! The best thing for her at this point is to be as positive as she can and strive towards a healthy pregnancy and baby. It's a little late for the brow-beating about her being pregnant again.....why don't we HELP her, instead of scaring her to death! She knows she's in a high risk position!
