Baby Savannah Monitor Lizard?

Q. Ive had my baby Savannah Monitor Lizard for about a month now, & ive made sure to hold him 10-30 minutes each and every day because i heard if you don't handle him frequently he'll become aggressive. But the thing is, he is so shy and scared of me.. Im very gently with him & he will sleep next to me and cuddle sometimes but if hes out in the open or my hands aren't cuffed while holding him he'll quickly jump and run away.. i sometimes walk by his cage when He's in there and il spot him on top of his little cave basking but the second i walk in the room he'll run and hide... im hoping he wont always be this distant but he might just still be getting used to me. Does anyone know any ways i could build trust with him at this age? he wont let me hand feed him or anything quite yet either, he wont even eat if im in the room, but the second i leave and come back all of his food in his bowl is gone, hes not agressive whatsoever, just shy.

Answer
Mine was like that when i first got him. I just moved slowly around him and pet him for a bit before picking him up. All baby lizards are a bit flighty and will choose to run away when given the chance. This will go away as he grows and becomes more confident. Right now, he sees you as a predator because you are so much larger than him. But, as he gets larger, his natural fear of predators will go away. Mine is puppy dog tame now and hes 3 years old.

Is this an okay "baby budget" for first time teen parents?

Oh and the baby isn't due until October D:
Idk if that helps with anything tho haha :o
Not funny... _
I'm only spending $10,000 tops D:
Well I'm turning 18 this June and that's when I get like some of my trust fund money so only a couple million out of the $39M. Idk I'm confused ughhh :((
I got the prices from some dudes and we only want one child soo yeah and we do love our baby so money is not a problem at all:)
I live in Maryland if that helps
Lady I'm not a little boy I'm 17 I don't really care much for your opinion on teen parents. And judging by your name you're probably a drunk and a failure at being a mother.
Why so much hate Mark? Can't we all just get along here it's a simple question please don't turn this into an argument. Gay people can in fact have babies not themselves but there's methods. You should look into researching it. Have a nice dayyy:)

Answer
Goodness gracious that's a lot of money. Let me guess grand parents paying for this? Because if you plan on having a baby shower and have lots of rich friends you aren't going to be getting a lot of those things. Also I know when I was 16-18 I didn't make a lot of money working.

Babyâs Room

Crib $200
Crib mattress $100
Crib sheets 4 of them $20 a sheet, so $80
Bassinet: $100 or get a pack'n'play for about $150 and use it for after baby is no longer sleeping in it.
Mobile: should come in the bed set you're buying for the crib
Rocking chair $300, you can get a very nice glider with foot stool for this price
Diaper changing table $300, I see these as a waste too, but you can get a nice one for about $150
Diaper pail- total waste of money
Baby books: $100 how many books are you buying?
Baby monitor: $350?! Why do you need to spend that much on a baby monitor, you can get a very nice Graco one for about $60

Baby Clothing

Pajamas, 5 pairs: You can get a 3 pack of Gerber for $14.99, so for $200 you could get 13 packages which is 39 PJ's
Onesies, 5 to 10: You can buy onesies in groups of 5 and only pay $9.99-$19.99
Play outfits, 5: What do you think the PJ's are for? You buy outfits second hand or on clearance, go to Wal-mart even
Sleep sack, 2: $80, Gerber sleep sacks, 2 pack $9.99
Bibs, 5: 5 pack of bibs for $19.99
Blankets, 4: 5 pack of Gerber $19.99 and the more plush blankets are right around $15 each

Other Baby Equipment

Infant car seat and base: $150 tops and that is for Graco
Convertible car seat: $500, you don't need this until they are 1+years old and that is insane, I got a certified one for $50
Stroller: $800, LOL $100-$200, you usually can buy the matching stroller and carseat together
Play mat: $100, seriously? $50
Swing: $250, I got a plug in one, which are hard to find for $200, most are about $150
Bouncer: $175, at the most $100
Soft or musical toys: $100, how many toys are you buying a baby that can't even lift it's own head yet? A few at $5/toy is plenty
Sling or other baby carrier: $150, you can get a Snugli for $20

Baby Care and Feeding

Bathtub: $60, does it wash the baby for you? $20
Baby shampoo and lotion: $50? What kind of shampoo and lotion are you buying? $20 tops
Bath towels and washrags: $60
Humidifier: $100, unless needed this is a useless item also
Pacifiers, 4: $30, these only cost about $5/pacifier
Bottles, set of 6: $60, $10/bottle, are you crazy? You can buy them by the pack for about that
Bottle brush: $25, I have one and it only cost me $4.99
Baby spoons and bowls: $50, don't need until they are at least 6 months old
Safety gates: $275, the basic wooden gates do the job just fine and I only paid $15 for mine

Total: $6,835, estimated total when you don't have endless amounts of money $2095.

You really need to get with reality and realize that spending that kind of money, unless it is yours is ridiculous. You also forgot formula, diapers, wipes, hats, burp rags, breastpump if nursing. Dresser to put those $200 pjs in. A jumper, exersaucer and the list continues to grow the bigger they get. Stop looking at high end top dollar and get a realistic idea of what you can actually afford. Good luck because I think you're going to need it.
