A. I found what you're looking for...

It's part of what appears to be one of six feature film installments of a television series similar to Masters of Horror called FILMS TO KEEP YOU AWAKE. The movie you want specifically is called THE BABY'S ROOM.

This link might give you more information. It's in Spanish, so I'm not able to translate it very well.

"THE BABYS ROOM

"Dormiresti se qualcosa stesse cullando il tuo bambino nella porta accanto?"

Directed by: Alex De La Iglesia

Can Anyone Remember This Movie?
Q. My wife and I were discussing classic suspense/thriller/horror films we had seen as kids. Movies like "Mikey" and "Nightmare on Elm Street", "Sorry, Wrong Number (1948)", ect.

There is this one movie that I remember watching, but I cannot remember the name. It was about a tween boy who lives with his father, and he becomes obsessed with this married woman and her young daughter. The kid kills his father and hides him in a freezer. Then he kidnaps the woman's daughter and tricks the woman with a baby monitor in the closet??? I don't remember how it ends, - I think the kid ends up going to jail or dying - I just remember that this creepy kid was trying to be romantic with this 30-something year old woman.

Does anyone remember what this movie was called? I appreciate it.

A. The Paperboy (1994)
aka The Paper Boy
starring Marc Marut, Alexandra Paul, William Katt, Krista Errickson, Frances Bay, Barry Flatman
IMDb review:
The plot involves a sadistic boy who just wants to be loved. He kills his elderly next door neighbor because he wants her daughter, Melissa, to be his mother and knows that she will have to come to the funeral. Melissa does come to town, bringing with her Cammie, her daughter. The boy proceeds to worm his way into their lives but soon wears out his welcome. Meanwhile, Melissa and Cammie are getting acquainted with their neighbor. The boy continues to kill various people in the neighborhood.

Is this a good book? It's not the full 1st chapter, but what do you think?
Q. The man stood pacing. Back and forth, back and forth. He walked around the hospital waiting room for hours. Hours upon hours. Sometimes he would stare out the window, looking at the dark, starry night sky. He plopped down into a chair nearby. It was freezing cold and he shivered, the room he was in had an air conditioning system that was blasting out ice cold air to keep away the heat of the summer night's air. He was waiting for the doctors to come back into the room after the dramatic night's events. The brown haired man kept replaying them in his head like some kind of horror movie he couldn't stop watching no matter how much he tried. He imagined the good thing, the one good thing that had come from the crazy night and prayed to himself. *I hope she's okay.*
"Quick! Get her in!" Yelled one of the doctors. They were all pushing a woman on a gurney into a hospital room. She was pregnant and going into labor. She was laying on the bed with wheels covered in a small white sheet hoping for any bit of warmth she could get. They pushed her slowly into the room and attached a clip to her finger. Instantly a heart monitor next to the bed sprung to life with green lines going up and down to the rhythm of her fast beating heart.

"Aaahh!" Cried the woman. The baby was coming out and instantly the doctors jumped into action.
"Breathe, then push!" The doctor told her. She did as he said and let out short, rough breaths. "It's coming!" Yelled the doctor. He put on his gloves and the infant came out head first. "It's...A girl!" He cried. The woman and her husband only got one tiny glance at their newborn with tiny little blonde hairs shooting from her head when suddenly the room was covered in a warm red liquid. The rough white sheets the woman had been laying on were covered in blood and so were the bleach white walls of the room.

The woman was bleeding and it was coming out uncontrollably fast. She was losing too much blood. The doctors watched as the heart monitor started to slow down and the woman's ear piercing scream echoed through the room.
"Ahhh!" She cried, yet again. The doctors took action again, trying to stop the flowing of blood and clot it. *Beeep.* They were too late. The dull and monotonous tone of the heart monitor hit the room like ice.

"Honey," the woman whispered in short, rasping breaths. Her husband came near the bed and grabbed her hand. It was surprisingly cold and he looked her in the eyes. "Please, please take care of her." The man slowly rubbed his hand through his beloved's hair and felt her body lose it's life. She closed her eyes slowly and everyone was silent. The only thing heard was the man whispering, "no, no, no..." the doctors stood by and watched as one little teardrop fell from the man's left eye and hit his deceased wife's hand. The main doctor, Dr. Marks, rubbed his back, giving hi sympathy.

"Waaaaaaaahh!" The sound of the newborn crying circled the room. The man shot up straight and a nurse lifted the baby from a small bed the doctors had set her on.
"This baby..." she said slowly, "some thing's wrong with it!" The doctor stepped closer and took hold of the baby, he slowly walked to another door to the left and turned the knob, enetring the other room. "Sir," he said to the baby's father, "I will be back soon." The man nodded in understanding and left the room, walking down the plain hallways, listening for other people, but heard nothing. They were probably all sleeping. He thought and soon realized that he'd never even got to see his baby before the doctor carried her away.

The man put his head down on one of his chair's arms. He was growing tired during these late hours of the night but knew he'd never get to sleep knowing his baby was still gone. He was the only one in the room, it was strange, how could there have been no emergencies? How could no one need the hospital now? Even the secretary had been gone for almost 10 minutes, *probably the bathroom or something.* Thought the man.

"Mr...Fuyanne...?" Asked a doctor, coming out into the waiting room. The brown haired man looked up, surprised, and stood. He hadn't seen this man before. "We're sorry to inform you...But the baby has passed on..." "No..." The man choked. "Sh-she can't be...dead..." he attempted to convince himself, but he knew it was true.
"I'm sorry..." The doctor slowly left the room. The baby's father stood in his place. *Everything...* He thought, *I lost it all...In one night.*

The man slowly got up and left, pushing the glass hospital doors open and leaving to go home. He sat in his car with a feeling like his heart was slowly being crushed from the inside. His wife, his baby...they were all gone.

"Did

A. I see that you are trying to be descriptive but the way you put things together makes things hard to understand. Try to make thing flow, for example:

The man paced, back and forth, through the hospital waiting room. Hours were passing and he found himself doing little things to pass the time. He found comfort(changeable), at the window, the stars held his attention and somewhat stilled his pounding heart.

Instead of:

The man stood pacing. Back and forth, back and forth. He walked around the hospital waiting room for hours. Hours upon hours. Sometimes he would stare out the window, looking at the dark, starry night sky.

Hope I helped.

Does anyone know the names of these movies made in Spain?
Q. I know I saw them, I just can't remember the titles lol.

Movie Number 1: A rich couple that lives in a big house adopts a baby boy that has HIV. During the movie he is not a baby though he is 5 or 6 years old and they never tell him what all the pills he takes are for. I just remember some other people either friends or family asking the couple does the boy know about his disease and the couple saying they havent told him. I can't remember what happens otherwise thats all Ive got sorry!

Movie Number 2: A horror movie about a man, his wife, and their baby that move into a haunted house. They start seeing and hearing strange things and the husband keeps having these realistic visions of an evil version of himself killing his familybut its not actually happening. I cant remember if somebody else was murdered in the house before they moved in and that was the problem or what, but whatever was in the house seemed to be trying to possess the husband.
I think they get trapped in the house at some point when the haunting and/or possession escalates and they get out somehow in the end and cops and an ambulance were called. It looks like its all over and everyone is safe, but the man is inside of the house looking down on the street and he realizes that the bad version of himself is smiling up at him with an evil grin as he goes off with the wife and baby in the ambulance.
No I have seen both movies you responded with (I even own The Orphanage). Only the second movie I need the title for is a horror movie the first is a drama.

A. I know the second: Films to Keep You Awake: The Baby's Room (2006) directed by lex de la Iglesia. In México (my country) the title is "6 Películas para no dormir: La habitación del niño".

Plot from IMDb: In Spain, the sports journalist Juan has a perfect life with his wife Sonia: they have just had a baby and moved to an old house that needs to be repaired in a fancy neighborhood. When Juan's sister and her husband visit the couple, they give them an electronic nanny to monitor the baby's room. During the night, Juan and Sonia hear voices in the room but they do not find anybody. On the next day, Juan hires an alarm system for the house and a monitor to observe the baby's room. When Juan sees a man in the room, he gets a knife to protect his son. However, Sonia believes her husband is insane and moves to her mother's house. Juan investigates the happening with the former journalist Domingo, who explains him the paradoxical experiment Schrodinger's Cat and the existence of parallel worlds. Further, he advises the obsessed Juan to leave the house otherwise could be trapped in another world.
