What is considered diarrhea for a baby? My son is 10 months and he has just been having 1 BM a day but very loose. Trying to see if anything else is going on with him besides teething? He is just not himself, he is clingy, waking up every few hours at nite.

He was rubbing his ear a few times but no fever and I am leanong more towards teething he is getting 3 top teeth in a row in.

teething can cause diarrhea but it is usually 3-5 bowel movements a day. The rubbing of the ear could signal a ear infection brewing. Also the clinginess is a sign of illness. Monitor his temp for the next couple of days if the symptoms don't improve - also - try some tyelnol or motrin for discomfort. If he continues with no improvement - call pediatricin
