has anyone used the bebesounds movement monitors?

Q. And if so do they work good or do they go off often? thinking on getting one....if u dont know its the monitor that u put under the matt n if the baby makes no movement at all within 20 seconds an alarm goes off....is this a good thing to get or is there something bettter out there?

A. No personal experience with it but I researched buying it (didn't end up buying it cause of the $) but everywhere I looked it got VERY good parent reviews. People on Amazon, Babies R Us and Target all gave it an average of 4.5 stars and there were hundreds of reviews. So I bet it's a good product. Everything I've bought that got good ratings has been a good product and the opposite for the bad reviews. Amazon has it for $89 and free shipping!

What are dentistry options for a 17 yr old when canine tooth did not come down?
Q. My son is one of the smaller kids in his class and he seems to run a couple years behind his classmates in development. He has beautiful teeth with one exception. One of his baby canines had a larger than normal root and stayed in too long. They finally pulled it out and have been monitoring the movement of the adult canine, but it is not moving into the correct position. The orthodontist wants to put upper and lower braces on for about 18 months to spread out the two adjacent teeth a bit to make more room, since the gap has closed up a bit, and have oral surgery to attach a button to the canine and connect a wire to pull the canine down with the braces.

My son, going into his senior year in high school and soon college, does not want braces for the next 1.5 to 2 years. The gap is not too big, and he just wants to leave it alone. Could he just leave the canine up where it is, totally concealed up in the gum, and do a little bonding on the sides of the two adjacent teeth to close the gap and help keep other teeth from going out of alignment? Is there any long term problems that this could create? It doesn't appear from repeated x-rays that the canine has moved a bit over the past year. It is kind of sideways, and just stuck there. Or, are there other options we should consider?

A. I have the same exact problem and i just went to the orthodonthis today you do not need fake teeth but what they need to do is pull out the tooth behind the canine and the one on the other side and usally the canine will come down within a day or two but even with two teeth missing it will look exactly the same many stars are missing adult teeth that they got pulled and you couold never tell the difference

Twins: how many level 2 ultrasounds did you get during your pregnancy?
Q. i swear i heard my doctor say that i will get my first at 19 weeks, then every four weeks after that until delivery. is this true?
secrets-
looks like two sacs to me, but the u/sound quality is HORRIBLE! you doc should have given you better pics! but yeah, sure looks like 2 to me! congrats!

A. I too am a mom of TWO sets of twins. With the first set, I had around 6 I guess. It was a very uncomplicated pregnancy that resulted in 7 lb 2 oz and 6 lb 11 oz twins born at 38 weeks. They are now 8 and the stars of their soccer team.

With my second set, I had at least 15 because my baby girl was growning much slower than her brother. Other than that no complications. I also had alot (three times a week during the last 6 weeks) of Non Stress Test with them to monitor her vitals. She was 4lbs 4 oz and he was 7 lbs 1 oz. Both were extremely healthy and got to come home after 2 days. They are now 5 months old and growing by leaps and bounds.

Welcome to the twin club and get ready for the adventure of your life!

How do you use a ovulation monitor and how does it work?
Q.

A. If you use the ClearBlue Easy Fertility Monitor it is simple. You need to buy the test sticks. set your monitor at the time of day you will test..should be your first morning urine...on the first day of your cycle. ( Day you start bleeding ) On day 9 it should star asking you to test and basically you pee on a stick and insert the stick into the monitor and within 5 minutes or so it will give you a reading. It will tell you if today is a low day.. less chances of conceiving, high..closer to ovulation and would be a good time to get sperm in your body waiting around. and peak..the day or two in which you ovulated and your eggs are viable..this gives you one last chance that cycle to try.

Good luck.. baby dust!
